Like pretty much everything else in the U.S. and world, the cannabis industry suffers from a lack of diversity at the leadership level. More diversity in cannabis ownership is absolutely needed. While legislators, activists, and business owners work to improve diversity in cannabis, it’s important we celebrate and spend money with the BIPOC-owned cannabis businesses in Washington already out there doing it!

The following list is in no way complete. There are nearly 2,000 WSLCB cannabis business licenses out there and no official list of BIPOC-owned businesses. So this list is almost certainly missing some. It is a start, however. And with locations ranging all over Western Washington, hopefully, you’ll find local BIPOC-owned cannabis businesses you can support.

If you know of any additional BIPOC-owned cannabis businesses in Washington, please email emily.anna.manke@gmail.com. We’ll update the spreadsheet, and this article to include them.
