The packaging for this Jack Herer shatter by Doc Croc is compact and tidy. The green square with the crocodile eye staring through makes a big statement, however! The extract inside the plastic package is wrapped in a parchment paper envelope that’s neatly taped shut. It works perfectly for shatter and seems more environmentally-friendly than the typical glass and silicone concentrate containers. In a perfect world, those glass and silicone containers would get reused, but we all know this is not a perfect world.
FIRST IMPRESSIONSThe texture of this Jack Herer shatter by Doc Croc is pretty dreamy. It’s super smooth and consistent for a shatter. The shatter doesn’t stick to the parchment paper at all and breaks apart easily into dab-able chunks. The scent wasn’t noticeable at all. It was virtually scentless unless you sniffed it super up close, and then it was still a subtle pungent scent.
EXPERIENCEUnfortunately, this concentrate didn’t provide me with a wonderful sampling experience. It dabbed fine at all temperatures, though it was a bit more enjoyable at a lower temperature. The issue I had was the flavor. It was smokey, and not in a nice way. That said, I’m not a fan of smoked spirits, so I am not the target demographic of anything smokey. The high was good. It did what a nice sativa concentrate is supposed to, provided a blast of energetic and joyful high. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any of the peppery, fruity, or herbal flavors often associated with Jack Herer. All I noticed was the charred wood flavor. Maybe this came from a farm near forest fires or something, I don’t know.
This Jack Herer shatter by Doc Croc had excellent packaging and texture, and a well-balanced and effective high. The flavor, however, didn’t float my boat. Maybe it was just a bad batch. It is an excellent price though, so I’d try it again and give it another chance.
