The label on this little standard silver pouch is cute. Am I a little partial to a logo that says Sesh in red? Maybe. But either way, I think it does a good job of conveying a fun little gram bag of weed. It states the strain and parentage right on the front, along with the fact that it’s a hybrid. The package also lets you know the flower is pesticide-free. The cannabinoid information is light. Just list the THC and total cannabinoids, no terpenes no THCa, none of that mumbo jumbo, just the bare-bones basics. Which is fine, the target market for this flower isn’t connoisseurs, but folks who need a gram for cheap. And in that case, it has all the information you need.

The first thing that needs to be said about this flower, is that it’s $5 a gram. Going in with expectations of world-class cannabis for that price is setting yourself up for disappointment. The flower doesn’t look particularly beautiful, it looks like your standard mids. It is surprisingly dense. Three tiny nugs make up the gram, and when you handle them you realize there is a lot to them. One thing that stood out to me about this flower is that it is extremely fragrant. I had the pouch in my pocket after opening it and the aroma followed me everywhere I went. It was more sweet and pungent that lime-scented, but when I pulled the bud apart a bit and smelled it, I could notice some citrus notes.

When you go into something with realistic expectations, you leave room to be surprised by the quality, and I was! This flower didn’t look beautiful, but it smoked great. It was smooth and clean, but the tiny nugs density let them burn for a while. I got a lot of life out of the gram. The flavor was also nice, I got more of the citrus flavor than I did scent. But it was also definitely pungent and sweet tasting. A nice, robust flavor profile. The high was mellow and happy. Key Lime Pie is an indica-dominant hybrid, but maybe because it’s not so potent, but I felt nice and light after smoking it. This flower won’t give you couch-lock, perfect for day time smoking and social occasions. It’s not going to keep you up or give you energy like some genetics might, so it would be fine for nighttime use as well, but it’s not going to knock you out.

Not everyone has a bunch of money to blow on weed. For those on a tight budget, or those looking for something a little less intense, this Key Lime Pie from Sesh offers a quality option. For $5 you get decently high. And on top of that, it’s pesticide-free, tastes good, and smokes smooth.
