Top Shelf’s packaging is solid. The design is classic and easy to read, not overly busy. The design is not exactly groundbreaking, and the branding isn’t either, but it’s minimal and attractive nonetheless. More importantly, the package provided all the information you need about the product. All the cannabinoid info, along with a detailed terpene count. Information about the solvent, butane and propane. It also advertises that the extract is pesticide tested which is super important for concentrate. And of course strain info. I find the simplicity of the packaging refreshing and honest. Sometimes overly branded cannabis products make me wonder what corners were cut to put that much money into marketing. But that’s just me.

This crumble has a super unique texture. The extract is hard, almost shatter-like. The texture did make it a little hard to work with when cold, but if you warm the jar up in your hand a bit, it became more malleable. The fragrance was solid, sweet, earthy, and piney, making it perfect for the holidays. I also found the color to be unique, a little darker than I’m used to which made it kind of alluring. Anything a little different always has me excited to try it.

This crumble hit nice and smooth, and the flavor was great. Classic Dutch Treat flavors, sweet and piney, like smoking a Christmas tree and a fruit cake all at once. Making it the perfect stocking stuffer strain. Now I know I’m unique in this way, maybe it’s just my body chemistry or placebo effect, but Dutch Treat has always felt like a sativa to me. And this time it was no different. The high was uplifting and energetic, and erased all anxiety from my mind and body. The perfect high to help tackle annoying monotonous holiday chores.

Dutch Treat enthusiasts, crumble-lovers, and cannabis concenrate conneiseurs alike will all enjoy this unique extract from Top Shelf. It really is a great strain and product for the holiday season, and would make a great gift to a cannabis lover, or a gift to yourself.
